This project was birthed out of my own need of slowness and deeper connections in my life,
within and beyond human form. Inspired by somatic practices; Body-Mind Centering and
embodiment combined with self-exploration and feedback from my collaborators.
Exploring skin and sense of touch as a form of storytelling and ritualistic bodily
expression. And looking at how these elements and actions with our bodies can support us in
forging deeper connections, thus a sense of care for the self, other humans as well as more
than human others.
A project co-created by women for women, containing touching skin stories wrapped in a
poetic language and dreamy skin landscapes. It Includes practical guides of ritual explorations
for slowing down and connecting. The content has been collected and materialised as a teaser
booklet, which aims to grow into a book in the future that will take the experiencer on a
haptic journey.
Here I invite you to join this exploration of your own skin through slow explorative rituals
with your tactile sense. Presented in a 5 minute video with an audio guide to take you on this
self-exploratory ritual journey. In this exhibition you also have full digital access to the booklet and its contents of skin stories and their landscapes, as well as all guided rituals to explore in your own time.
Open call and invitation shared on Facebook to reach out to potential co-creators.
